    The four basic stress types that exist on an intersecting axis.

 

    The vertical axis depends on whether you have high (hyper)

    or  low (hypo) cortisol production.

 

   The horizontal axis depends on whether you rely

    more on your sympathetic nervous system (S), that triggers

    a  fight-or-flight response, or parasympathetic system (P),

    which is the rest-and-restore response.
