What is Reiki??
Reiki was “re-discovered” and named by Mikao Usui in Japan over 100 years ago,
after studying and meditating on ancient Tibetan and Buddhist texts.
The word
Rei-Ki
means:
Rei
refers
to Universal Life Force energy.
Ki
that
force, or energy, as it flows through each of
our
individual forms or bodies. The Chinese
call
this the
Chi, Indians Prana, Christians the
Light.
How does Reiki Work??
Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle "spiritual" energy, which promotes healing on all levels.
A Reiki "channel" places their hands on the person receiving (clothes on) and invites
the healing energies to flow. A treatment session is usually about 1 hour.
Recipients often report feeling a warmth, very relaxed and nurtured.
Once you have trained as a Reiki channel, and via the attunement
process from a Reiki teacher, this energy spontaneously flows
through the
hands,
for the
healing of
yourself & others.
Reiki assists:
*
The body’s natural healing capacities
*
Cleansing of the body’s toxins
*
Balances the body – releasing stress
*
Letting go of past emotional blocks
*
Re-establishing equilibrium – revitalising
*
Adjusts according to the recipient's
needs
In Level 1, of the traditional Usui Reiki system, you will learn how Reiki actually works, where and when
it can be used, and how to give a healing treatment. Each person is then attuned to the Reiki 'vibration'.
Anyone,
at any age, can become a level
I channel.
In Level 2 powerful Reiki symbols are taught to assist in absent and mental healings. Further deepening
attunements, and the advanced focus and information given at this level, make this a must for conducting
a
professional practice in Reiki and for spiritual growth.
Level 3 is the Master’s level – one to one training. Level III training is usually conducted over 8-10 weeks.
